Prof. Dr. Christian Kruse

Prof. Dr. Christian Kruse, born in 1962, is a partner at match.IT GmbH and Professor of Business Informatics at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences.

After studying industrial engineering at TU Darmstadt and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, he completed a doctorate at Saarland University’s Institute for Information Systems.

He then worked for Deutsche Bank AG, where he was responsible for large international projects in the fields of software development for electronic banking products. Since 1998 he has been Professor of Business Informatics at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences where he has been involved in teaching and research, as well as the university’s organization as former Dean and President of the Dean’s College. His teaching and research activities focus on business process management, business software solutions, e-commerce, and strategic IT management and IT-based business models. He has been analyzing and observing the IT market for over 20 years and has successfully incorporated this knowledge into a variety of projects with IT and user SMEs.
